Hi!
I've graduated! I now have my Bachelor's degree in Film Production from Full Sail University. I graduated Salutatorian of my class and recieved a Course Directors Award in Creative Presentation. I am now moving on to complete my Master's Degree in Entertainment Business. However, I've recently been offered a dream opportunity.
I've been offered the chance to be a part of Rooster Teeth Production's Live Action Art Department Internship. It is a 10 week summer internship in Austin, Texas.
Rooster Teeth is an American media and entertainment company located mainly in Austin, Texas. They have other smaller locations in Los Angeles, California and London. Rooster Teeth began with the production of Red vs. Blue, which premiered in 2003 (before Youtube!) and is still in production, making it the second longest-running web series of all time.
This internship opportunity would involve working on all of their projects, as well as the intense set up for their convention. During any possible free time, the team has promised me that they will teach me as much as they can about whatever I want to learn. This internship will not only provide me with skills needed to work in the field, but will further my art education, networking with professionals, and real world set experience,
I have been working a part-time job and saving in the event an opportunity like this comes up; however, I've come up a bit short from being able to make this happen. Any person in the industry will tell you that there is a point of "paying your dues" before your career works out. I feel the benefits of this internship strongly outweigh the cost and I would really hate to miss out on this opportunity.
Internships like this don't come along often and when they do there's 10,000 other applicants. I was the companies top choice for this position. This is my chance to get my foot in the door in a career that is very hard to get into.
I would like to ask if you have a little bit to donate, either to help me in this journey, or to celebrate my graduation, I would greatly appreciate anything that you can give to make this opportunity happen for me.
Thank you in advance,
--
