Lillita and the Tramp

Historical Fiction meets Modern Times.
A new play about Lita Grey, Charlie Chaplin's second wife, and their tornadic divorce in 1927, told as a comedic noir: Back-room media deals, mistresses, innumerable puns, and Lita's superhuman efforts to keep herself and her sons together.
If you want to know a little more about us and what we're putting together, see the video at https://vimeo.com/935675100.
Our play will premiere at the New York Theatre Festival on May 13 and see an initial 3-day run. We, Jonah and Noelle, the playwright and director, want to make absolutely sure we can keep the actors and crew fed and costumed--not an easy feat when producing a complicated period-piece with a teacher's income.
Any amount you can give will be an enormous help.
A tremendous thanks to you all, and we're excited to see you in May!
