Lillian has been a valued employee and co-worker for 10 years. Her life has not been easy but through all the difficulties her love for her daughters has always kept her strong. Her middle child, Reina Elizabet stayed in El Salvador with her father's family when Lillian came to the US. Reina Elizabet finally was able to join her mother in DC in February 2017.
Tragedy struck three months later when it was discovered that Reina Elizabet had a brain tumor. Today, Reina Elizabet, aged 12, was taken off of life support.
There are no words to make this seem any less tragic or sad. There are no words to soothe Lillian's heart right now. But, as a community, perhaps we can help by alleviating the money hardship she faces as she prepares to lay her daughter to rest. Plans have not been made and I will update everyone as soon as there is a plan for where and when the funeral will take place.
Thank you for helping Lillian. She is going to need a lot of support in dealing with this loss.
