Lilith Waverley Easton was born nearly three weeks early on August 23rd, 2021 at 3:23am. At that very moment is when Dakota and Brie’s lives changed forever. But unlike most parents it wasn’t just an over the moon with joy kind of change. It was a scared for their beautiful baby’s life kind of change.
Lilith was born with a rare Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) called Pulmonary Atresia. Pulmonary Atresia is a birth defect of the pulmonary valve, which is the valve that controls blood flow from the right ventricle to the main pulmonary artery. This artery is responsible for carrying the blood to the lungs. Lilith’s pulmonary valve is missing which means blood can’t flow to the lungs. This type of CHD is categorized as a critical CHD and will need several surgeries to correct.
As you can imagine, Dakota and Brie haven’t left her side and are filled with worry and hope. Worrying about Lilith is the only thing they should have to worry about at a time like this. Unfortunately it’s not. Dakota and Brie are staying with Lilith in Ann Arbor at the U of M Hospital full time which means they are unable to work. Not being able to work means it won’t be long before the bills start to pile up. Not to mention the cost of having to care for themselves to remain strong and healthy for baby Lilith!
Please donate what you can to help this beautiful family and don’t forget to share the link!
Asking for help doesn’t mean you’re weak, it just means you want to remain strong! Remain strong for Lilith! #bringbabylilithhome
