My sister, Lilia Anderson, received the news that no one ever wants to hear. In October of 2023 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and her journey of tests, scans, biopsies, surgeries, and radiation has begun. In December doctors performed a double mastectomy, and 1 week later a reconstructive surgery. After the second surgery, Lilia received additional news, that they found cancer in her lymph nodes, which will require another surgery. It will be followed by radiation treatment. Everything that's involved with battling this monster has already forced her to take a lot of time off of work, and more to come in the future. Bills don't stop coming and insurance only covers so much. It's an extremely stressful time for Lilia's family, physically, emotionally, and financially.
