Help Lilia and Zoya After the Pacific Palisades Fire

The Pacific Palisades was home to Lilia and her 90-year-old mother, Zoya, for over 10 years. In minutes, the fire destroyed everything Lilia owned—her own home and her rental condo, which provided her sole means of income. Lilia and her mom lost everything: their belongings, their stability, and the safety net they had built over the years.

Lilia has worked in the film industry for over 15 years. However, like many others, she lost her job during massive layoffs in the industry. With her career at a standstill, this massive disaster, and being responsible for the care of her mother, who is in an accelerated decline, Lilia is struggling to find a way forward.

The extreme difficulty is Zoya’s advanced age and health. At 90 years old and with a severely diminished mental capacity, along with the trauma of losing her home, she has experienced a sharp decline in her condition. Caring for her mother has always been Lilia’s priority, but the challenges of finding suitable living arrangements and medical care have become overwhelming.

Lilia and Zoya are currently staying at a friend of a friend’s home, but this is only temporary. Her property was underinsured, and a significant amount of coverage was unilaterally reduced and dropped by the insurance company, leaving them without the financial means to put their lives back together. They urgently need help to secure stable housing, replace necessities, and ensure Zoya gets the care and support she desperately needs.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in helping Lilia and Zoya navigate this incredibly difficult time. If you’re unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world to them. All donations will go directly to their bank account.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion. Together, we can help Lilia and Zoya rebuild their lives and find hope in the face of this tragedy.

Thank you,

Lilia
