Lila's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
On December 1st, 2020 after a week of unexplained pain and fatigue, Lila had blood work done that showed abnormal results. Lila's parents, David and Jena were advised by her pediatrician to take Lila to Children's Hospital in Seattle for further testing and evaluation. After undergoing several lab tests and procedures, David and Jena heard the words no parents should ever have to hear...Lila has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
The entire family is in complete shock and disbelief and very crushed by this diagnosis. Lila will need intensive treatment for the first 6-9 months and then if all goes well Lila will require maintaince for another 2-2 1/2 years. There will be lots of unknowns in the upcoming months while Lila goes through intensive chemotherapy with the goal of achieving remission and cure.
Anyone who knows David and Jena, know they are the last people to ask for help. While providing Lila with whatever she needs to vigorously fight, David and Jena will endure many expensives related to her treatment. I'm hoping to help alleviate some of the financial burden a long-term health crisis of this magnitude can bring to Lila's parents. During this journey, they will have gas expenses traveling back and fourth to the hospital, hotel expenses, food, household expenses while on a limited income from working reduced hours to provide the care Lila needs.
With covid and everyday life, we understand finances may be limited for many but Lila's family would be greatly appericative of any amount you can help. It certainly will not go unnoticed in a time such as now. Please keep Lila and her family in your prayers as she goes through this difficult journey to beat cancer and return to a happy and healthy girl.
