On the 23rd of October, I spent the morning with a sick and puking Lilah. I did not think much of it because lilah has had previous stomach issues in the past. However, she started to worsening throughout the day and the next morning she was puking as well. So, we ended up going to our vet on an emergency exam which costed us $70. Our veterinarian came up with a plan to treat what was happening, even if we did not exactly know. On the 24th, they did bloodwork. Her liver enzymes came back abnormally high, so they prescribed 3 medications to battle her puking and diarrhea, along with her abnormal liver. At the end of this visit, our total was $748. After the vet, she was okay. No vomit, no diarrhea but she still had no appetite. Upon further research, we had a poisonous castor oil plant growing next door and it was coming into our yard, our vet was closed and we immediately thought the worst. We believe she has got into this castor plant and ate a bean, or a leaf. We are not sure but this morning, we woke up to blood everywhere from diarrhea and she had vomited. We rushed to the emergency vet hospital closest to us and are waiting for further details. I wish I didn’t have to do this, because i have way too much pride but these medical expenses are taking everything we have. Please donate and share if you can, I will appreciate it for the rest of my life.
