Lilac tree memorial for Jenn & Abay

Our Harlem Community has united with
compassion and love for the loss of beloved
neighbors,  Jennifer and Abay. 
The community would like to celebrate their
life in the form of a planted tree.  Jennifer and Abay loved gardening together and spent time caring for community garden projects. 
Jennifer Schlecht was born during the
Rochester Lilac Festival and grew up in its
nearby suburbs, so with her family's blessing, we are honored to plant a flowering lilac tree.  Planting and dedicating a tree is a process, so we are aiming to cover the funds needed for
the tree, a protective fence and commemorative plaque in a location close to their home in their beloved neighborhood.  

Any funds raised beyond that needed for the tree memorial will be donated to the cause that Jenn’s family chooses.
