Ich bin Lila (they/them, keine) und ich leide an Muskeldystrophie Typ Duchenne. Es ist eine progressive und unheilbare Erbkrankheit, wegen der ich in einem Elektrorollstuhl sitze nur zwei Finger bewegen kann. Ich war schon immer ein Gamer und habe seit meiner Kindheit super gerne Nintendo gespielt. Ich hatte alle Konsolen von NES, SNES, über Nintendo 64 bis zum Nintendo Game Cube. Aber 2009 bis 2019 konnte ich dann leider gar nicht mehr gamen, da meine Krankheit zu vorgeschritten war und es bis dahin noch keinen speziellen Gamecontroller gab der mir hätte helfen können.

2017 habe ich zum ersten Mal vom Quadstick gehört, ein Gamecontroller der es mir ermöglichen sollte wieder zu gamen. Also habe ich ihn aus den USA bestellt. Der Quadstick ist ein Gamecontroller, der mit dem Mund bedient werden kann.

Er wird per USB an den PC, die Xbox, Playstation und auch Nintendo Switch angeschlossen.

Dank dem Quadstick kann ich endlich wieder gamen!

Ich kann Games wie Mario Kart, Pokémon und Super Mario mit Leichtigkeit spielen. Mit dem Quadstick kann ich nur einen Joystick gleichzeitig betätigen kann. Das heisst, während ich mit der Figur rumlaufe, kann ich die Kamera nicht bewegen. Aber am besten funktionert der Quadstick am PC. Den Mauszeiger kann ich mit meinem Rollstuhl-Joystick bewegen. Dadurch kann ich im Game die Figur mit dem Quadstick steuern und die Kamera mit Rollstuhl-Joystick.

Um meine Gamebase schön einzurichten, brauche ich jetzt noch ein schönes selbstdesignetes Sideboard.

It is a progressive and incurable hereditary disease because of which I sit in a power wheelchair only able to move two fingers. I have always been a gamer and have been super into playing Nintendo since I was a kid. I had all the consoles from NES, SNES, to Nintendo 64 to Nintendo Game Cube. But in 2009 until 2019, I unfortunately couldn't game at all because my disease was too advanced and there wasn't a special game controller that could have helped me until then.

In 2017 I heard for the first time about the Quadstick, a gamecontroller that should enable me to game again. So I ordered it from the USA. The Quadstick is a game controller that can be operated by mouth.

It connects via USB to the PC, Xbox, Playstation and also Nintendo Switch.

Thanks to the Quadstick, I can finally game again!

I can play games like Mario Kart, Pokémon and Super Mario with ease. With the Quadstick, I can only operate one joystick at a time. That means while I'm walking around with the character, I can't move the camera. But the Quadstick works best on the PC. I can move the mouse pointer with my wheelchair joystick. So I can control the character in the game with the quadstick and the camera with the wheelchair joystick.

To furnish my Gamebase nicely, I now need a nice self-designed sideboard.
