Lila Jo's Medical Journey

Dear friends,

This page has been created to share the story of Abby and Joey Ledbetter and their precious daughter, Lila Jo, who came into this world on February 21, 2024. She is the granddaughter of Robin & David Leathers and Debbie Mages & Gene Ledbetter. At just four weeks old, Lila woke up with a concerning bruise on her eye. A few days later, at what they thought would be a routine well check, they got unexpected and frightening orders from their concerned and very attentive pediatrician. Upon noticing the bruise, she ordered a CT scan, which revealed a mass growing behind Lila's eye. After a week at Greenville Hospital, further testing uncovered a second mass on her brain, leaving doctors without a clear diagnosis. Specialists are conducting extensive tests, but due to the delicate nature of the mass locations, biopsy options are not available at this time. The Ledbetter family faces an uncertain journey ahead, both emotionally and financially. As a caring community, we want to rally around them, lifting a portion of the weight that lies heavy on them right now through prayers and financial support. I've started this fundraiser to ease the burden they face during this trying time. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference in their lives.
