Help J & KD Survive While Stuck in Texas

Hey, I'm Jay, a transgender artist living in Texas.

My partner and I are currently struggling to make ends meet, as a result of several big things in our lives not going as planned. I was supposed to inherit the house I grew up in - nope. My partner was supposed to inherit 250k - nope. We were supposed to move somewhere we'd be less financially strained - nope. All false promises that fell through because those who were meant to pass them along failed us completely. The maddening thing is knowing that any one of these actually following through would have prevented this situation.

My immediate goal is to find employment, so I can stop asking for help altogether. I made this GoFundMe to provide relief from debt and hunger while I look for work to support myself and my partner.

We did manage to recently move to a unit with a reasonable rent cost, in a better location, but we're still struggling, and moving is still expensive, and we still have bills and debt to pay.

Not to mention my emotional support animal, our beloved cat passed away suddenly last December, and the costs of the ER and cremation only added to our financial and emotional struggle.

The funds I raise will primarily go toward paying rent & bills, debt, and HRT. If we are able to reach our goal, we will use the funds to help ourselves move to Colorado.
