VIRNA ACOSTA
Makeup Artist
Makeup is art! More-so when it’s done on live canvas: The person behind the face, with its valleys and unique characteristics affords me the opportunity to make discoveries that are so worthwhile. Along the way, I’ve made lasting friendships. Makeup artistry is not just my career- it’s what I love to do! I honestly feel I’ve been a makeup
artist since very little. My mother tells me that at age four, I would sort her powders, brushes, lipsticks etc. and make things easier for her to find! I began my career on independent films. The first actor I had the pleasure doing makeup for was Adrian Brodie. There after, Edie Falco, Jeremy Piven, Louise Lasser to name a few. But, two years later I had this strong desire to do makeup for photographers. But indeed, recent opportunities have paved the way, and here I am working on films again. I feel blessed to meet amazing people who inspire me to grow my craft, and be part of the powerful creative process that is film-making.
