Hi I'm Millie a wheelchair user and I now need a new lightweight active wheelchair. I have tried to get one from my local wheelchair services, I've been waiting over 8 months and they are unable to provide one that is suitable and will meet my needs.

I have approached a charity and hopefully they will help me to part fund one but I'm still in need of the extra to top up the cost or if they can't I will have to fund it all.

I need a lightweight active wheelchair as I am very active and independent, I need to be able to lift it in my car by myself. My current chair is so heavy to push and to lift I have now developed a problem in my elbow. It currently weighs 15kg and ideally for a chair that is more suitable for me would need to be between 5-8kg. I have tried a few models and really like how light they are to manourve and makes life so much easier so I am now in the process of deciding which one I like the best. The average cost is £7000, which is alot of money so between the charity and your very kind donations I hope to have a new one as soon as possible
