Bruce Tetsuya & Claudius Wick became friends about 2 years ago, through their filmmaking Instagram pages: @thedanceofcinema & @framedfiilm. We tend to gravitate toward similar aesthetics in cinema and stories, and have advised each other on various projects, but we will finally be working together in person on this passion project!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

A boy is beckoned into the night field by a swarm of fireflies, where he discovers a haunting truth.

On the surface, this is a mystery / psychological horror about a boy uncovering a gruesome murder - but on the deeper level, it's about the unifying hope in all of us. There are symbols and lines throughout the film that speak to how our childhoods, innocence, and memories can be the answer to loss.

THE FILMMAKERS:

Claudius has produced and worked on films in Stockholm and Germany and has assisted films in the US. Both of his latest short films, "Astraphobia" (Semi-Finalist Oscar & BAFTA Nominating Flickers' Rhode Island Film Festival - Director & Writer) and "Grow" (Cinematographer), are set to premiere internationally at film festivals. For some of his next projects, he will be traveling to the US, Berlin, Stockholm and Iceland.
