Lighting the Way for Lyon County Officers
Donation protected
Hello friends and strangers!
In honor of Police Officers' Week, I'm raising funds to cover the cost of Guardian Angel devices for our deputies. With a visibility range of 5+ miles, Guardian Angels are designed to illuminate first responders while they perform duties in the dark and dangerous situations they find themselves in. These devices are not standard-issue for Lyon County officers or our area Firemen or EMTs. Too many officers and first responders are killed in the line of duty, unnecessarily. I'm sure you've seen the horrible videos across your social media. Let's show our officers that we care about their safety as much as they work to ensure ours. Mason, my 22-year-old son, is a deputy sheriff for Lyon County. My heart is out on these roads with every shift. I want to do what I can to ensure he, and his co-workers, stay safe.
I hope to raise enough money to outfit all of the officers at the Lyon County Sheriff's office with a Guardian Angel. Any extra money raised will be used to provide a device for area fire and rescue departments to use when assisting people on roadways. It would be incredible to raise enough to give to neighboring counties for their own deputies. Every cent will be carefully tracked and distribution information can be made available at anyone's request.
