Lighting Chad McArver's Path Ahead

Chad McArver, a brilliant lighting designer, an impassioned teacher and our generous, big-hearted, kind, loving friend needs our help. On January 17, Chad rushed himself to the hospital after experiencing health trouble. He had a blood infection that ravaged his heart. On the darkest, most frightful day, he was told to say his goodbyes. He had to fight for his life. He not only survived a dangerous open-heart surgery, but he emerged on the other side -- smiling, asking about his students and pushing for better, more colorful lighting in his hospital room, not for himself, but to cheer his wonderful nurses who helped him regain his strength. He is regaining slowly day by day his strength, but he has a long road of recovery ahead. Not only is he recovering from open heart surgery and the blood infection, but he is now battling cancer. He needs our help to get him and his family through this next chapter.

During this critical time, he had friends and family, including his immediate family from North Carolina, come to his side. They have incurred extensive expenses for travel, hotels and meals that have caused additional stress and anxiety. To give Chad the care he needs in the coming months, they need money to cover these mounting expenses.

We all have countless stories about why we love Chad. Chad has come to the rescue so many times. He has been available to talk through any problem any time of day.
