Restock After Our Break-In
Donation protected
For 20 years, Lighthouse Ministries has been serving the Florence area. We help to prevent evictions and disconnections; provide food, fans, blankets, and life-sustaining prescription medications to eligible participants; connect individuals to area services, and create programming that serves the needs of Florence residents.
We came into work this morning (July 25) to find that we had been broken into over the weekend. The thiefs stole around $6000 worth of diapers, baby wipes, baby lotion and wash, laundry detergent, baby blankets, car seats, and other items.
We give these items to women who are in a special program of ours--the Working Mothers Support and Education Program.
Why would someone break in and steal these items, you might ask? Why not the computers and office equipment? Easy. Diapers and everything else they stole are easy to sell.
We are completely heartbroken and are asking for your help. Please consider making a donation to help us restock our diaper closet. Your gift directly helps support working mothers who are actively working to make life better for their families.
Thank you so much.
