Liver transplant for Vernon Guthrie

First off I want everyone to know how hard this is to do as me or my family has ever been one to ask for anything but I feel like we have come to a point as a family that we aren't real sure what way to go. My dad Vernon Guthrie has always been one of the hardest workers I have ever met he has given so much and sacrificed so much for our family over the years and been the man/father I can only hope to be but a couple of years ago he was diagnosed with a liver disease at which he has worked hard trying to combat but over the past few months his conditions has only gotten worse to the point we're he hasn't been able to work hardly any and on the days he has he had to push himself so hard to do which that alone is not easy for someone who loves to work and be doing things all the time. Over the last month and a half he has had to go to the hospital atleast ones a week to get fluid drained and he isn't even able to sleep or hardly get rest anymore. Alot of prayers have been answered and my dad has been put at the top of the list for a liver. Its been a rough road and even a longer road to come. He will be having the transplant soon but ones the surgery is done and he is released from the hospital him and my mom have to be within 30 minutes of the hospital for atleast 30 days post surgery which means they will have to stay in a hotel for atleast a month not to mention the stays between now and the surgery which in itself is going to be extremly expensive. This is all new territory for my dad and our family and on top of all of us being worried to death about the outcome not to mention the financial burden that it's put on my parents. I know like we always have we will find a way to make it work like we always have but the worry of paying the everyday bills at home plus the expenses of traveling and lodging when having to go to Chapel Hill is only adding more on my parents at a time that's already extremely tough for them as it is. We don't expect anyone to foot the bill for these things all I am asking is for a very small amount of help for my parents to maybe lighten their financial burden a little bit. I realize that times can be tough for alot of people right now and we ask that anyone who can not spare a dollar or two to simply just pray for my dad and our family. From the bottom of our hearts we want everyone to know how much we appreciate everything.
