Join us in celebrating and supporting Tyler, a vibrant 9-year-old from Orlando, Florida, whose humor, big heart, and love for baseball, Pokémon, and adventure light up every room he enters. Known as the “professional jokester” of his family, Tyler treasures his role as a nurturing big brother and continues to bring joy to those around him, even as he faces unimaginable health challenges.

Two years ago, Tyler began experiencing seizures that led to a diagnosis of epilepsy. Recently, his family received the devastating news that he has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a rare and severe form of epilepsy that affects only 1% of children. LGS impacts mobility, speech, memory, and motor skills, and has already taken away his greatest love, baseball. Despite this, Tyler continues to stay positive, dream big (his Make-A-Wish is to visit Tokyo!), and share his light with others.

That’s where the Light Up the Brain 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run comes in! This special event will take place in the late afternoon on Saturday, December 13th at Pine Knolls Pub, located at Pine Knolls Golf Course.
