Urgent Fundraiser: Help Us Power Learning at KIVA

At Raising a Scholar, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn, regardless of circumstances. Through our tutoring, mentoring, and scholarship programs, we empower students to succeed academically and beyond. However, for many students at Kids Voice Africa (KIVA) in Zambia, a lack of electricity is creating a major barrier to learning. Unreliable power disrupts their education, making it difficult to attend virtual sessions, complete assignments, and engage in learning activities.

Their computers are failing. Their tutoring sessions are stalled. And the lack of electricity is keeping bright, eager students from reaching their full potential.

We’re launching a focused $1,000 campaign to meet an urgent need by providing:

1 Portable solar panel – to power devices and keep learning going even during power outages

2 Samsung Tablets – reliable, low-power devices that students can use for virtual tutoring and educational activities

This isn’t just about equipment—it’s about equity. It’s about making sure students don’t fall behind because of circumstances beyond their control.
