Light Up Jacksonville: Support Pride Month
Donation protected
In honor of Pride Month, members of Jacksonville’s LGBTQ+ community and their friends, family, and allies will once again light the Main Street Bridge in rainbow colors to express our pride. Our goal is to have 140 people (double the amount of last year) line the pedestrian walkway of the bridge and shine a community-made rainbow toward the Friendship Fountain on the south bank of the St Johns River to kick off Pride Month in Jacksonville.
We are hoping to raise the funds for the high-powered flashlights (about $25.00 each) and stage gels for the event. Please give anything that you comfortably can. ANY AND ALL funds which exceed the cost of materials will be donated to JASMYN Jacksonville, a local non-profit which helps to house and shelter local youth in need of a home.
Finally, just like last year, we will share these lights with our local Juneteenth celebration, which will light up the bridge on June 19th.
