Why are we here?
On April 16th, the Flores family experienced an unimaginable tragedy with the sudden and unexpected passing of Paul Flores due to post-operative complications. This devastating loss has left his wife, Bronwen, a loving mother of two young children, to navigate a future she never imagined.

Paul was a man who deeply valued peace, love, forgiveness, and his faith. Together, Paul and Bronwen were a beacon of light to their community, always showing up for others through their service and commitment. Whether you knew Paul through his work, were a patient of Bronwen's, or were fortunate enough to call them friends, their positive impact on the world is undeniable.

Now, Bronwen faces the immense task of rebuilding her life and providing for her two young children. In the difficult days, weeks, and months ahead, your generous contributions will offer a tangible source of support and relief as they navigate this profound loss. Please consider donating to help Bronwen and her children as they begin to heal and rebuild.

Paul Garcia Flores Obituary
Paul was a kind, compassionate and loving husband, son, father, brother, friend, uncle, and cousin. Above all else, Paul was a protector, and an incredible partner who kept us all safe. Known for always being an amazing listener and for his never-ending quest to learn more, Paul was a lifelong follower of our Father in Heaven and true believer in Christ. As taught in the Bible, Paul was endlessly forgiving and would give anyone the shirt off his own back.

Paul took great pride in his careers as a police officer and member of SWAT, an undercover narcotics officer, a firefighter and a rappel master all over New Mexico as well as the head of security and eventually the Director of Workplace Violence for PeaceHealth in Oregon.

Paul loved hiking, biking, camping and pretty much anything involving the outdoors, especially anything he and B could do together. He loved his family with his whole heart and anything involving them was his favorite. He could solve any problem and tie any knot. He was known for his notes and beautiful out-of-the-blue messages and videos. Paul's loving heart and fancy handwriting will truly be missed.

Paul will forever live on in our own hearts, as so many have been impacted by the sweet man that would never say no to a friend or a stranger in need. He would want us to celebrate life in the same way he did, remembering to love first, forgive always and never give up on each other.

Some fun facts are Paul's favorite animal was a turtle, and his favorite musical groups were the Bee-Gees and Rufus du Sol.

Paul is survived by his endlessly loving wife Bronwen whom he called "B", his children Lyric, Paxton, Lilliana, Kainen and Roman, his mother Elizabeth and father Pat Sr., sisters Cindy and Rachel, brothers Pat, Reyes, Jowe and Solomon, nieces Ezra, Micah, Marley and Olivia, nephews Jude, Parker, and Chase as well as an infinite number of friends that he considered family.

From his brother, Solomon
My brother was full of life. He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that made you feel like everything would be okay. He brought warmth wherever he went, and people were naturally drawn to him. Beneath his vibrant spirit was a deeply caring heart—one that loved without hesitation and gave more than he ever took.

He loved his family but above all else, Paul loved his partner, B. The love he had for her was genuine and unwavering. She was his life—his home, his best friend, his anchor. He didn’t just love her; he cherished her. Whether it was in the way he looked at her, held her hand, or spoke about her when she wasn’t around—his adoration was unmistakable. Their love was real, raw, and enduring. She was his light, and he was hers.

His greatest joy in life was being a father. His children were the center of his universe. He loved them with a depth that shaped every choice he made. Every laugh, every story, every hug—Paul poured his heart into fatherhood. And even in his quietest moments, that love never wavered.
Paul touched the lives of so many people. Whether it was through his infectious laugh, his willingness to listen, or his ability to make others feel seen and heard, Paul made a lasting impression. His warmth, generosity, and the genuine care he showed others left behind a legacy that will continue to live on in those he touched.

To his family, Paul was a steady presence. He was the kind of brother you could lean on, the kind of son who showed up without needing to be asked. He had a sharp wit, a big heart, and a quiet wisdom that made you feel safe. He listened. He noticed the small things. He made space for people, always ready to lend a hand or an ear.
Though Paul was not perfect, he always tried. He worked hard to bring our family together and to make amends. His heart was full of love, and he always sought to heal old wounds and build stronger, more connected relationships. Paul believed in the power of family, and he wanted to make sure everyone knew they were loved and valued.

No words could ever truly describe what Paul meant to me. We shared so many of the same struggles, and he was my constant support—my lifeline. He was the one who always encouraged me to keep going, who believed in me even when I couldn’t see it myself. His love, his strength, and his quiet wisdom are the things that kept me going through the darkest times and why I am still here today. His loss is a heartbreak I’ll carry forever, a wound that can never fully heal.

We miss him more than words can say. In the early morning light. In the sound of his children laughing. In the strength of B as she carries forward the love they built together. His absence is everywhere, but so is his love his legacy And always, his light.
