Be the Light at the End of the Tunnel!

My sister married her childhood sweetheart almost 25 years ago. They had 4 children — now 23, 21, 16, and 10 — everything seemed picturesque on their suburban family farm.

Her husband had one affair early on, but begged her not to leave him. She said he seemed truly sorry, and though it was heartbreaking and dizzying, she forgave him and stayed, and the years went on — child three, child four, a growing farm, church on Sundays; a good life.

But time has revealed her husband was living a double life, and she and the two youngest children are now in a desperate situation.

After leaving them three years ago, then filing for divorce, her husband's layers of secrets started emerging, both sexual and financial. With every secret that came out, the more complex the divorce became, and the more financial truth was requested, the more resistance.

After a year and a half in the divorce process, she was looking forward to mediation this past February, hoping and praying this difficult journey would be resolved and the divorce settled so that she and the kids could move forward with a new beginning.

But the day before mediation, he canceled — and declared BANKRUPTCY.

He filed for bankruptcy without settling or dividing assets, putting their homes and all their earthly possessions on the line, and closing down his companies which generated millions of dollars.

Why would he do this? We believe we know! But only due process of law will tell!

Legal costs in the pursuit of truth and justice are mounting — into many thousands of dollars — increasing every day! The situation for my sister and the children is urgent with even their home on the line — urgent, but not hopeless!

Family, church, and friends have helped her get this far. But with bankruptcy court added to divorce, the costs have become overwhelming and the road twice as long.

Here's where you come in. If just 200 people gave the cost of what they spend at Starbucks or Chik-Fil-A in a month ($50), she would have $10,000 to pay their increasing litigation costs!

Every donation, large or small, matters! Please help my sister and her children in this battle to protect their home and future, and get justice! Maybe after many years of turmoil, they will finally be able to settle down and just do life!

Will you consider helping be that light at the end of this long tunnel for her and her children? Thank you!
