Lifting Up Wendy

On April 1st at approximately12:02 pm the life of our friend and family member Wendy Akins changed forever. While on her way to a company picnic, something she had been looking forward to all year, she was struck head on by another car. By the grace of our almighty Savior, Jesus, she did not die instantly. Her car was completely totalled and Wendy was trapped and severely injured, but God placed multiple people on the seldom travels Hwy that day. She was assisted by two individuals who had medical training until help could arrive. Once fire and rescue arrived Wendy was cut from her car and transported by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital, where she under went emergency surgery on her lower extremities. This would be one of many more to come in the future. Wendy does have insurance, both medical and auto, but she is looking at a long recovery and large deductibles.
