Lifting Up Lynn: A Quiet Way to Show Love

Donation protected
Our mom, Lynn Keenan, was born on September 22, 1956. She’s the heart of our family — the mother of five, and a guiding light to so many more. She’s always been the one people turn to, offering comfort, kindness, and unconditional love without ever asking for anything in return.

Two years ago, she underwent brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. She faced that challenge with strength, even though she still carries a small tumor on her brainstem today. As tough as that was, it turned out to be only the beginning.

Not long after, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. She fought through nearly a year of chemo and radiation, and we clung to hope. But six months after treatment ended, we were devastated to learn the cancer hadn’t just come back — it had spread throughout her body.

It’s been one blow after another. Just plain rotten luck.

But Lynn? She hasn’t let it break her. Not even close. She’s faced every moment with incredible courage and grace. She hasn’t cried for herself once. Through everything, her biggest worry hasn’t been the pain or the diagnosis — it’s been us. She worries about leaving her kids. About how we’ll carry on without her.

She’s too proud to let us throw a big benefit or fundraiser in her name. So this is a quieter gesture — a way for those who love her to help lift her up, in whatever way they feel moved to.

Any donations made will go directly toward giving her a little comfort and joy while we still have time:
• A weekend away, somewhere peaceful.
• A five-star meal she’s always dreamed about and watched so much food network for.
• A few bills paid to ease her mind.
• A small luxury that makes her smile.

Just something to remind her how deeply she is loved, and to help her feel a bit of light in a time that hasn’t offered much.

If you feel led to help — whether through a donation, a kind word, or simply sharing this — we are endlessly grateful. Every gesture helps give her a little more control, a little more peace, and a reminder of how many people are in her corner.

Thank you for loving Lynn, for holding her in your heart, and for being a part of this journey with us.

With love and gratitude,
Kurtis
