My niece, Aliviana, was born in July with a rare genetic disorder called 22 q deletion syndrome. This syndrome impacts the development of major organ groups. Within five days of birth, Aliviana had her first heart surgery and spent the next month at the hospital. Over the months since, Aliviana has grown and gotten stronger. She's getting ready to have a major heart surgery in March and will spend 2-3 weeks after at the hospital in recovery.
Aliviana's condition comes with a lot of complications. She has multiple doctor and specialist visits a week and requires around-the-clock care- even more than does an ordinary infant. Her heart condition isn't the only challenge Aliviana faces, just the first major one to tackle. Through it all, Amanda and Jordan have been steadfast in their care for her, all while continuing to parent and nurture my nephew, Aliviana's three-year-old brother.
This has also meant that one of them has had to stay home and be a full-time caregiver for Aliviana. Amanda and Jordan would never ask for your support, so I'm doing it for them. They think I'm only arranging a mealtrain. Please consider a donation to support Amanda and Jordan and their kids. My hope is that they will be able to use this fund to lift the burden of increased work with decreased resources.
Please consider making a donation to support Amanda and Jordan and their family. No one plans for this kind of thing. No one dreams their child will be 1 in 200,000. No one plans for their life to change overnight. All of the funds from this GoFundMe will go to lifting the burden for Amanda and Jordan and my super smart nephew and sweet little niece. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.
