Lifting Olivia Up After a Life-Altering Injury

Hi, my name is Katie, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Amanda Cox and her daughter, Olivia. Amanda and Olivia are like family.

On August 14th, while at a flag football practice at Weber Field in Chippewa Falls, WI, Olivia sustained a traumatic injury involving a football goal post.

The circumstances are still under official investigation, and details remain unclear at this time. What we do know is that it took multiple adults to free her, and she was urgently transported from Eau Claire to Rochester by life flight.

We are beyond grateful Olivia is alive. Praise God.

Olivia is a bright, sweet, blonde-haired, blue-eyed little girl who was looking forward to starting school and making new friends. Now, her path forward looks very different. She faces a long journey filled with reconstructive facial surgeries, major dental procedures, and extensive physical, occupational, and emotional therapy. There are many unknowns to her medical journey at this time.

This fundraiser is to help Amanda focus on being by her daughter’s side during this long and uncertain recovery — without the added burden of overwhelming medical bills, travel expenses, and time away from work.
