A mother, a grandmother, an auntie, a wife, a friend, a wisdom keeper, a Matriarch, an Elder.
A lover of berry picking, story telling, animal wildlife shows and visits.
Flora is a residential school survivor. She was taken to St. Joseph's Mission in Williams Lake, BC and some her siblings were taken to Kamloops Indian Residential School.
In April, Flora had two strokes followed by a prolonged hospital stay for her recovery, made even more troubling amidst a global pandemic and restricted access to family visits. In this time, folks came together to pray, send messages of love, send gifts of medicines or some of her favourite things (card/lottery tickets/gifts) to support healing for her continued time earthside.
On May 27, Flora was able to return home to start her full healing journey with the support of her loved ones.
Her family and community is contributing in all ways and this is a space for folks to support financially.
Flora's healing is vital as a wisdom keeper. We are looking to lift the weight and collectively support in ways that we can for Flora's full recovery. Please contribute if you can.
