Our friend and colleague, John Carroll, a well-known and respected mechanical contractor, has recently received the news that he’s facing a battle ahead following his recent cancer diagnosis. As he begins treatment, which is expected to continue for up to a year, this GoFundMe has been set up to help support John and his family through what will be a challenging time both emotionally and financially.

John is a devoted husband and father to two young children. John’s wife has dedicated herself full-time to caring for their family and their oldest child, who needs extra help and attention each day. With John now unable to work during his treatment, the family faces significant financial strain on top of everything else they’re coping with.

Anyone who knows John knows the kind of person he is — hardworking, generous, and always the first to step up when someone else is in need. He’s been a loyal teammate, a great friend, and a pillar in the GAA community. John represented Offaly at all levels, from Minor, u21 and Senior, and of course his well-known service and commitment to his club, Doon, along the way. John has given so much of his time and energy over the years, always ready to lend a hand or a word of encouragement.

Now, it’s our turn to rally behind him and show that same spirit of teamwork and support. Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference to John and his family during this difficult journey.
