Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

We are reaching out on behalf of our beloved mother, Virgie, who is going through one of the most difficult times of her life.

Just recently, Virgie lost her husband Russ to a devastating battle with cancer, COVID-19, and pneumonia combined. Russ was not only her husband but also her very best friend for the past 36 years. They lovingly called each other “baby” and often referred to themselves as “chicle” since they were stuck together like gum. His passing has left a deep emotional and financial void.

On top of this heartbreaking loss, while at the hospital caring for Russ, Virgie fainted and suffered a serious fall, resulting in a broken back. She is currently in a back brace and may need surgery depending on her recovery. The pain and physical limitations have made even daily tasks a struggle.

Between mounting medical expenses, household bills, and the loss of income and stability, Virgie is in urgent need of support.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help cover:

• Russ’ cremation costs

• Ongoing medical costs and recovery needs

• Bills and living expenses while she heals

• A cushion to help her find her footing during this overwhelming transition

Virgie is such a thoughtful, loving, selfless woman who has always been there for others in times of need. Now, we are asking for help to surround her with love and support as she faces this unimaginable hardship.
