Lift Up Mike: Double Bypass Recovery

Hi everyone, my name is Alicia, and I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my dad, Mike LaForest.

Recently, our world turned upside down when my dad suffered a heart attack. He had to undergo emergency double bypass surgery, a heart stent placement, and doctors also had to remove an artery from his arm as part of the procedure.

While we are beyond grateful that the surgery went well, the recovery ahead is going to be long and difficult. Doctors say he will need at least six months to heal, and for the first two months, he won’t even be able to lift over five pounds. This is especially devastating because his job is very physically demanding, and there is no way he can return to work until he’s fully recovered.

As the sole provider for his family, he is now facing a major financial burden on top of the stress of healing. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward:

✔️ Medical expenses from surgery, hospital stay, and follow-ups

✔️ Rent, utilities, and groceries while he is out of work

✔️ Recovery-related costs, including medications and cardiac rehab
