Lifting Up Lydia

My friend Lydia is an amazing woman!  She is a woman of strong faith, full of kindness and has a heart of gold.  Lydia has spent her life caring for young children as an in-home child care provider, Sunday school teacher and currently as the preschool coordinator at her church.  She is an amazing friend and neighbor who has helped and cared for so many and now we'd like to return some of that love and kindness by aiding her at this point in her journey.  Lydia is in her late-40s and has been living with MS for over 20 years.   She lives alone and is able to remain independent with her walker, a lot of patience and the help of friends.  Over the past two years her MS has progressed significantly. She often exerts a lot of energy getting up from her chair and sometimes needs assistance.  She has suffered from reoccurring cellulitis and several falls and sometimes has trouble getting into bed.  Lydia is in desperate need of a recliner lift chair to aid her in her ability to remain safe and in her beloved home.
