Lift Up Franco & Jean-Pierre, Donate to Research

Hello friends in and around Washington Elementary School - One of our families has experienced a terrible loss recently. You may know Franco as a cheerful and lively first grader in Mrs. Spitznagel's class. Franco's mother, Stephanie, passed away on May 23, 2023 at the age of 44. Several school friends have been asking how they can support Franco and his father, Jean-Pierre, so as a room parent for Franco's class, I have developed this page as a way to do so with Jean-Pierre's permission. Stephanie's obituary, which describes the inspiring and adventurous life she shared with Franco and Jean-Pierre, can be found here. There are a few options to consider if you would like to show your support to Franco and Jean-Pierre:

1) The family has asked for support of the Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Run/Walk so you may make a donation to the walk and the research that it funds here. This is Jean-Pierre’s top request as it meant a lot to Stephanie, and while the initial fundraising goal has already been exceeded, he is hoping to take it even further in Stephanie’s honor.

2) If you would like to offer financial support that the family could use at their discretion (whether it be to cover expenses or simply fund a few extra summer adventures for Franco), please feel free to leave a contribution here and it will be distributed to Jean-Pierre and Franco.
