We are fundraising for our dear friend and colleague; Mel. Mel is one of those people who shows up for everyone — the friend who would give you the shirt off his back without ever asking for anything in return. Now he’s the one who needs support.

Mel has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is about to begin chemotherapy. On top of the emotional and physical toll this brings, life has thrown another cruel curveball — he was due to move to Ireland to be closer to family, but because of his diagnosis, that opportunity has been taken away. This means Mel is now facing treatment without an income, while still needing to support his family and keep a roof over their heads.

Anyone who knows Mel knows how deeply he cares for his family. Right now, his focus should be on getting through treatment and healing — not worrying about how bills will be paid or how to provide for the people he loves.

We’re raising money to help ease that burden. Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards supporting Mel and his family with everyday living costs, travel to treatments, and anything else they need during this incredibly difficult time.
