Hi everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read our story.

My name is Khenj, I am fund raising for my cousin Beth, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 Endometrial Cancer. She is more than just a cousin to me- she has always been like a sister, my confidant and one of the kindest souls I've ever known.

She came to Canada to visit me and my son not too long ago. I am a single mom and her presence brought so much love and warmth into our home. She helped me care for my son with so much patience and gentleness. She became a big part of his life too- someone he could laugh with, learn from and feel safe with. We made beautiful memories together exploring British Columbia, and even got to visit Calgary. Those were such joyful and meaningful moments for all of us.

Growing up, I always looked up to her. She has a big heart, always the first one to help others, even when she had so little to herself. She has always been the one to listen, who supports, who gives without expecting anything in return. Seeing someone who has such kind and gentle and selfless heart now facing something so heavy breaks mine.

Now, she is the one who needs help.

She has returned to the Philippines to undergo further test to determine if the cancer has spread and to start treatment. Unfortunately, she has no job and no financial support, and her siblings are also living paycheck to paycheck and her parents are both deceased. The medical costs, tests, surgery and ongoing treatment are overwhelming and without assistance , her chances of receiving timely care are very low.

We are humbly asking for any support- no matter how small- to help her get through this battle. Your donation will go directly toward her medical treatment, diagnostic tests, medications, hospital fees , and supportive care.

She has spent her life being a blessing to others. Now, we are asking for little kindness to be returned to her.
