Lifetime Best friend/dog needs MRI

My best buddy in the world, Tobey. Needs an MRI asap. On Friday he had horrible seizures out of the blue and my wife and I rushed him to her job(vet clinic). My wife's clinic is a general  and we need to take my dog to a specialist to get an mri. The MRI will cost roughly $3500. Since Friday , my bud , cannot walk but can move his leg as if he wants to walk. It's seems that something happened to his nervous system. Tobey is a 9 year old white german shepard/lab mix . My wife and I adopted him from the East Los Angeles shelter when he was 8 months old. Tobey is truly our best friend and we are trying to do everything we can in the world for him. We have had him hospitalized at my wife's work since friday and he is showing improvement but we need to get him an MRI asap but I don't wont him suffering not being able to walk. We need to take him to UC Davis for the MRI. The doctor's think that he may be able to come out of it but it could take a couple of weeks for him to see progress.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
