May 28, 2019 after working to repair a parking lot Nathan went to the ER in Bastrop with stomach pain. He was transported to St. David's in Roundrock. Nathan was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. Soon after his liver began to fail. The staff prepared us that he was dying and they would not consider lifesaving treatments. I have not met a person in Bastrop County that doesn't have a funny story to share about him or stop to tell me how kind he is. Due to the strength of his heart and body we have secured a miracle transfer and a spot in a rescue transplant program that can save his life. Nathan deserves to continue his story and watch his amazing children grow up. He was airlifted last night to Baylor Medical Center in Houston. The initial fee is $12,000. After that health insurance will step in and cover the transplant. Without this transplant his life expectancy is 3 to 5 days. If you feel moved to contribute please share. Your donation will help give Nathan a chance to see Avery become a surgeon, take Trevor fishing and have a second chance at life. My belief is he will be back in Bastrop fixing thermostats for free, endlessly trying to teach me how to play golf and watching forensic files. Thank you for loving him and taking the time to believe in him.
