Teresa's Kidney Transplant

Hello everyone! Thank you in advance for prayers and generosity! Teresa has been going through kidney failure for the past 2 years, she started dialysis June 2018 and was placed on the kidney transplant list in October 2018. By God's amazing love and grace, she will be undergoing a Kidney transplant on July 30th! We are all so thankful for the Lord's kindness in providing a donor so quickly! Teresa’s sister-in-law Laurel is going to be donating her kidney to allow all of us many more years with this amazing wife, mother, and friend. We are beyond grateful for this precious gift and sacrifice from Laurel! While her family is incredibly thankful that insurance covers the cost of the surgery, it does not cover the cost of expenses after the surgery (hotel, gas, food, etc). Because of the seriousness of the operation, Teresa will have to be at follow up appointments 2-4 days a week, all appointments located at UCLA Medical Center after the surgery. Because the doctors and family would prefer her to stay close to the hospital--in case of any emergency or rejection—she may have to stay at a hotel close to UCLA for the first few weeks. The goal is set at $1,500, which should be enough to cover those expenses, but may be raised in the event of an emergency.
