Hi there, my name is Mark. I've been battling colon cancer for the past six years. When I was first diagnosed, I was given less than a year to live. My cancer had initially metastasized to my liver and lungs, and since then I've undergone over 150 rounds of chemotherapy, over 30 operations to remove tumors, and two rounds of radiotherapy. Despite all of this, I've maintained a relentlessly positive attitude throughout my journey.
I've been blessed with the love and support of my incredible family, including my wife, Becci, and my two sons, Finn and Wilf. They've been my rock and have given me the strength and courage to keep fighting, even on the toughest days. I've also been fortunate enough to have the unwavering support of my wide network of friends and family. Their love and encouragement have given me the motivation to keep pushing forward, even when things seem impossible.
Over the past year, I've become a cancer coach to help others emotionally and mentally through their own cancer journeys. I've also started public speaking to inspire others to face adversity with a positive mental attitude. I'm proud to have been able to use my experience to help others who are going through similar challenges.
Unfortunately, my cancer has metastasized to my brain, and I now have two tumors that will need further treatment. Although I've worked all the way through my cancer journey, I feel that I need to focus on this new challenge. That's why my family and I are setting up this GoFundMe page. We're asking for financial support to fund my medical expenses, help me slow down on work, and assist with childcare expenses so my wife can continue to work.
Despite this setback, I'm still fighting. I'm determined to beat cancer once and for all, and I'm grateful for any support that can help me do so. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
