Life-saving Surgery for Rai

Hi, my name is Seymour and I'm fundraising for life-saving surgery for my 2-year-old male Shiba Inu, Rai.

Rai has always been a happy, healthy dog. A few days ago, he had a terrible accident and suffered a spine injury. I rushed him to the vet. After X-rays and bloodwork were done they gave me terrible news that Rai has vertebral luxation/subluxation in his thoracic spine. And if he does not receive surgery soon, he will be permanently paralyzed and have to be humanely euthanized. He needs to have the surgery done as soon as possible so that the vertebrae do not damage the nerves in his spine, which would result in paralyzation.

I have been working with the specialists at Canada West Veterinary Specialists and Critical Care Hospital. Luckily, because Rai is young and otherwise healthy, if he has the surgery done in the next few days he has a 90% chance of making a full recovery.

The cost of the surgery is $15,000 CAD.

I am trying to find the funds to get the surgery done, but I was not financially prepared for this to happen. I'm asking for help raising money for this surgery so that he can be treated as soon as possible.
