Life-Saving Surgery for Mekayla Masse
Donation protected
On Sunday, September 11th, Mekayla was in a horrific head-on collision on Route 44 in Canton, on her way home from work.
After an extensive extrication by the fire department, Mekayla was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where she has undergone the first of many surgeries that will be required to save her life, and where she remains on life support in the ICU, in critical condition.
Her injuries are extensive. She had severe internal bleeding caused by damage done to her liver and spleen, and her spleen had to be removed. She also continues to bleed internally. She received broken bones and traumatic injuries to her left arm, tibia and fibula, pelvis, and both of her knees, from impact during the crash.
Our family is asking for prayers. Mekayla just started a new chapter in her life, by starting college as a freshman and a new job at Flatbread.
We would be grateful for any donations made, that will be used to help alleviate some of Mekayla’s extensive medical bills. (All proceeds will go directly to Mekayla’s family.)
She will have a long, hard road to recovery, and we hope that this will help her on that journey.
Love and thanks for all donations and prayers. ❤️ -Matt and Hilary Wilson
