Dear ones, I have made this fundraiser in hopes of helping to save my dearest friend’s puppy. She needs lifesaving surgery. Here is the situation in Laura’s own words ~
Hello friends and community we are in a heartbreaking situation with our beloved puppy Fern. This morning she was attacked by a neighbor dog and needs surgery to repair internal damage if she is to survive. The prognosis is good if she has the surgery. The estimated cost is between 6-10k. Unfortunately I did not witness the attack and it's our word against the neighbors. They are not willing to help with any of the cost. This dog has already put another neighbor's dog in the hospital with almost identical injuries. There aren't any other aggressive dogs in the neighborhood and Fern came screaming from their driveway. I feel horrible that I was negligent in making sure that Fern didn't get out of the house, but it happened and now we just have to focus on trying to help our poor girl. It may seem an outrageous thing to do for an animal, but she's our family and we've suffered enough loss as of late. We know that times have been tough for everyone, so any amount you might be able to contribute to her care is greatly appreciated.
