To have ever met Bodhi, is to love Bodhi.

Bodhi is a gentle, loyal 10-year-old border collie and the beloved companion of Tommy Miller, a long-time Fairplay local. For years, Bodhi has been by Tommy’s side. Over the past two weeks, Tommy noticed Bodhi becoming more tired and less interested in food. In the last couple of days, Bodhi’s condition worsened. He no longer wanted to go on his usual walks and completely stopped eating. Concerned, Tommy brought Bodhi to Park County Animal Hospital, where an exam and ultrasound revealed a large mass on Bodhi’s spleen. This mass is extremely dangerous and could rupture at any time, causing life-threatening internal bleeding.

Bodhi urgently needs a life-saving splenectomy (surgery to remove the spleen) to give him a chance at recovery and many more happy days ahead. Unfortunately, Tommy has been out of work and is facing this unexpected medical emergency without the financial means to cover the cost of surgery on his own.

Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward Bodhi’s surgery and care. Any additional funds raised will be donated to the Good Samaritan Fund to help other animals in need within our community.
