Help Us Bring a Life-Saving Spay Campaign to Mexico City!
One surgery changes one life.
One hundred surgeries change a community.
If you believe every animal deserves access to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care—no matter their family’s income—please consider supporting our mission.
Together, across continents, we can make a lasting difference.
We are a group of veterinarians coming together with one shared mission: to serve and save lives.
From Colombia, Mexico, Egypt, India, and the Philippines, our team is uniting to organize a three-week spay campaign in Mexico City from April 20, 2026 to May 8, 2026, working side-by-side with dedicated Mexican veterinarians at the government-run Hospital Veterinario de la CDMX.
Together, we aim to provide 100 female dogs from low-income families with safe, high-quality spay surgeries at no cost to their owners.
Why This Matters
For many families in underserved communities, veterinary care is simply out of reach. The cost of spay surgery—while routine in many places—can be financially impossible for households already struggling to meet basic needs.
• Increased risk of mammary tumors
• Life-threatening uterine infections (pyometra)
• Complications from repeated pregnancies
• Contribution to overpopulation and stray animal suffering
By spaying 100 female dogs, we are not only protecting their health—we are helping prevent hundreds of unwanted litters in the future.
Our Commitment
We are donating our time, surgical expertise, and skills to ensure each patient receives the highest standard of care, including:
• Safe isoflurane inhalant anesthesia protocols
• Carefully selected and safe premedication protocols
• Endotracheal intubation with controlled anesthetic delivery
• Continuous anesthesia monitoring including pulse oximetry, capnography (ETCO₂), heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and blood pressure
• Strict sterile surgical technique
• Comprehensive, multimodal pain management
• Careful intraoperative and post-operative monitoring
• Compassionate, respectful treatment
Our goal is to deliver pristine, high-standard veterinary care, holding ourselves to the same level of safety, precision, and compassion that we practice in our own hospitals.
This is not simply a high-volume campaign—it is a mission grounded in medical responsibility and patient safety.
Working Together
This campaign is built on collaboration. By working alongside local veterinarians at the Hospital Veterinario de la CDMX, we aim to strengthen community veterinary services, share knowledge, and create sustainable impact within the community.
How Funds Will Be Used
• Surgical supplies and sterile materials
• Anesthetic drugs and pain medications
• Monitoring equipment and medical consumables
• Antibiotics and post-operative medications
• Community outreach and educational materials
Every dollar goes directly toward providing safe, humane care to dogs who otherwise would not receive it.
The Impact of Your Support
• Prevent suffering before it starts
• Reduce overpopulation in a humane and responsible way
• Support low-income families who love their pets but lack resources
• Strengthen veterinary collaboration across borders
