Lifesaving Medical Treatment for Bhavani

Hi, my name is Terry and I'm asking for your help to support Bhavani and her family so that she can receive lifesaving chemotherapy and other medical treatments for stomach cancer. Bhavani was 34 years old when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease.

She lives in Mahabalipuram, India, where she maintains the household for their 12-year-old daughter and others in their extended family. Her illness now prevents her from working in the home. Her husband, Ramesh, is a lifeguard at a tourist resort in this small coastal town. When I met Ramesh seven years ago, he told me he had saved at least 30 people from the dangerous riptides in the ocean waters. A former fisherman who switched to lifeguarding after the 2005 tsunami, he earns less than $200 per month protecting tourists.

Ramesh has risked his life as a lifeguard saving others, and now he and Bhavani need help. They have treated me as family over the years and I am proud to call Bhavani my daughter and Ramesh my son. Please help this sweet family. Thanks so much!
