I never thought this tragedy would happen to my beloved sister, Kristina, and her dear family.

And they have less than two years to get into a safe house. The clock is ticking. Time is not our friend. I can’t abide the reality that if they don’t move in time, the damage in all their bodies may be irreversible, as the doctors predict. Or their dire warning that for Kristina, it could be fatal.

Irreversible health damage... leads to diseases... that lead to premature death. I’m launching this fundraiser to help the Jossund family.


Of course, I’m speaking to you as if you know Ben & Kristina Jossund’s story from watching the short video I asked them to put together (see above), so I will not repeat their story, but answer two great questions some have asked me,

1. “Why didn’t they do their home owner’s tests and inspections before purchasing?”

Oh, they did, just like any responsible home buyer. Everything passed. But they couldn’t see what the bank and real estate agent hid, refused to disclose, and outright lied about.

2. “Isn’t there a legal system to defend innocent people in these situations?”

Apparently not. If they had tripped on the mega bank’s step, they could have gotten more money in the courts than they actually did. The reality is the Jossunds were deliberately deceived by the mega bank/broker – and the consequences fell on Ben, Kristina, Alec, Dessi & Kalli – in the loss of their health, and the ensuing financial hardship. This settlement took 6 yrs and after the lawyers, fees, and debts were paid, netted them a mere $50,000.

That result was So. Very. Unjust. After all the hardship, all the loss – and they’re STILL suffering!!! They still need medical treatment. They must move out of standard built housing and into a Faswall toxic-free, water-resistant, safe home to save her life and all their health. Life experience has taught each of us reading this that $50,000 will not get them far with medical treatments or building a safe house.


So the long and the short of it is, Ben needs to somehow obtain a half million dollars. But they can only get a loan for half the amount they need. To build a basic, average-size home only (without a garage) in Wisconsin out of medically safe Faswall construction with non-toxic, VOC-free building materials will be around $400,000. Plus the cost of land. Depending on where it is located, lots run anywhere from $50,000 - $75,000. Ben works full time and 2 part time jobs already to pay for their health needs, but he cannot possibly earn the other $250,000 in time. In mere months, they need to buy land and start construction so the home will be completed in time to evacuate their rental due to their health crisis.

Ben can’t do this alone.

I have cried with them as I watched the suffering from severe Mycotoxin poisoning unfold in their lives and their little one’s lives, Alec, Dessi, and Kalli. It breaks my heart.

I have waited and hoped with them for the great American justice system to at least make the perpetrators give them enough for medical treatments and a safe place to live. What a disappointment.

I have prayed with them. And watched their incredible attitude in the face of heartbreak that is SO inspiring. It amazes me how they consistently encourage and lift others during their suffering. What the mold poisoning could not take was their faith, hope, courage, love & laughter that they continue to bless us all with.

I have given and given, but its so little in the face of their GREAT need. But if you will also give what you can, together we can make a big difference!

And now I will plead for them. This family is very precious to me and I KNOW dear to many others as well. I’m also 100% positive there are wonderful people out there who just met the Jossunds in their video, but who have big hearts for those in crisis. Maybe you or your friends/family are some of those compassionate people. Maybe you’ve been the recipient of a kindness in your life from someone and want to pay that kindness forward. Its time we unite together and surround the Jossunds with our support and SHOW them with this successful fundraiser, “You don’t have to do this alone.”
