Life-Saving Heart Operation for Craig

Hi, my name is Savannah, and I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart on behalf of my sister Rio and future brother in law, Craig.

On August 6th, Craig was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack. After urgent tests, doctors discovered that Craig has sever congenital Aortic stenosis and probable dilated ischemic cardiomyopathy his ECG showed Left Branch block and Left axis deviation.

We’ve since learned that unfortunately Craig was born with a rare heart defect. ( He has become a bit popular with the doctors in the hospital due to the rarity of this defect) This defect puts enormous strain on his heart,

The doctors informed us that Craig was extremely lucky to still be alive and insight of all of this Craig will now need life-saving open heart surgery at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. There will be a 6 month recovery period for Craig after the surgery. It’s uncertain whether he will be able to return to work afterwards.

We thank Medway hospital for everything they have done for Craig this far.

Craig faces a long hospital stay—both before and after the operation—as he recovers.

If you know Craig and Rio, you’ll know they are hard working and two of the kindest, selfless people you could meet always helping others and putting others needs before their own. Now, they are the ones who need help.

We are raising funds to support them through this incredibly difficult time for daily living exspenses due to Loss of earnings, Travel and stay costs and Recovery expenses during his long road back to health

Craig is still waiting in hospital for a bed to become available at St Thomas’s . we are waiting patiently and will keep you all updated as soon as we know more.

It honestly makes us so emotional to see how kind and giving people have been. Your support means the world to us. It’s the difference between Me being able to stay by Craig’s side throughout his operation and recovery in London and us struggling to keep our home. It’s lifted a heavy weight off our shoulders in this already difficult time.
