Have you had the miracle of a friendship for over 35 years? I have & I feel so blessed to experience the highs and lows of life with my very special friend Louada Raschke. Let me introduce you to her.
LouadaRaschke is a Licensed and Ordained Minister, Worship Leader, Recording Artist and Songwriter, and Television Evangelist. Louada delights in seeing people transformed in God’s presence as they worship and study His Word. Her TV program, “Be Free,” airs weekly on Golden Eagle Broadcasting (GEB) featuring Louada's practical teaching and anointed preaching. In addition, her "Be Free" Radio program airs weekly and features guest interviews and biblical teaching. She ministers at churches, conferences, seminars, Aglow International, The Coming King Foundation and other venues.
Louada grew up in a dysfunctional family riddled with alcoholism, drug addiction, rampant divorce, abuse, depression, strife and crime. At a very young age she was engulfed in fear, rejection, and hopelessness. There were no Christians in her family but at the age of 10 she accepted the Lord as her Savior. God began the process of healing her broken heart and pattern of her family. Through the study of the Word and prayer, she began to understand that she did not have to give into the temptation or follow in the footsteps of those before her. God broke the generational chains that had Louada bound. God gave her a future and hope. He called her into the ministry to preach, teach, and minister in music the powerful, life changing gospel of Christ that she had experienced firsthand. Her mission, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus, is to win the lost, set the captives free from addictions, destructive patterns of thinking and lifestyles, to pray for the sic and they recover and equip the church to do the same. Louada is an intense , fervent worshipper of God and loves leading others in worship. She desires to be continuously aglow and burning with His Spirit. Her life and ministry is built on John 8:32, "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free."
After her annual mammogram, on October 26th, Louada was given the news that she had breast cancer and needed to have an operation immediately. She ended up having not 1 but 2 surgeries within seven days. After her surgeries, many more scans and tests were run. She is now set to meet with the Oncologist and her Cardiologist to develop a plan that will include radiation and the possibility of chemotherapy.
Louada's "normal" life includes a very heavy schedule with full time ministry, TV & Radio Programs, ministry to the community & constant pouring out to others. Life has suddenly and unexpectedly been interrupted with this diagnosis. She and and her husband have been hit with medical bills outside the realm of “normal”. These expenses include a high deductible and a high co-pay. Her deductible will also start over again in January. We are asking for your help in two ways. We definitely believe in the power of prayer. We also believe in the generosity of others that God calls to help those in need. The first way we are asking for your help is to add Louada to your prayer list. Secondly, if you are financially able to help with their need, please do as God directs you. We are believing for complete healing in her body, but also know that at this time we need to do what the doctors are saying to do. We don't want the issue of these high medical bills to interrupt treatment in any way.
