UPDATE-Its with a heavy heart I let everyone know that my best friend of 35 years passed away this afternoon.  Thank you for the prayers, love, kind words, and generosity all have shown the past couple weeks for Ryan, his family, and his friends.  Please continue to pray for Ryan and family as they navigate these tough times.  Please continue to share this as Mindy and the boys have tough times ahead.  

Hello, my name is Chris Strunk and one of my closest lifelong friends, Ryan Summers, is currently in a medically induced coma. He and his family are in dire need of some support. He has been fighting kidney failure for the second time in his life and was recently added to the transplant list again. Many of his friends have gone through testing to see if they were a compatible match, but sadly it has been unsuccessful to this point.

This morning, Ryan woke up with severe ear pain and was not able to use his arm or leg. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance where they determined he had suffered a stroke. They had to perform emergency surgery on his brain to remove the clot. Prior to the surgery, he was unresponsive and showing very little brain activity. He is still in a coma and they will try to wake him up in the next few days.

Ryan has been married to his wife Mindy for almost 17 years. They have two young boys, Watson (10) and Carson (7). Ryan has been working successfully in real estate for the last several years. He was still working as much as he could, but had to slow down considerably when his kidney started to fail again.

We are all heartbroken for this beautiful family. This illness has caused a huge financial strain on their family and at this time they could use any support they can get. If you can donate, any amount would be helpful.

I am also asking for Prayers. I believe in the power of prayer and we need to flood God's inbox daily!!

Ryan is such a kind-hearted person and he is loved by so many. He would be so grateful for your support.
